Our Client is seeking a Leasing Representative to join the Leasing team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with an enthusiasm to grow their career within the commercial real estate industry. Their energized team is accomplishing this goal by building a best-in-class, location-driven core real estate portfolio with meaningful concentrations of assets in the nation’s most dynamic urban and street-retail corridors, including those in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, Dallas, and Boston. At the same time, they manage opportunistic and value-add investments through their investment management platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Negotiating letters of intent, new leases, lease renewals and other documents for new and existing shop tenants.
Assisting the Senior Leasing Director with the negotiation of national anchor tenant leases.
Canvassing local retailers to generate new leads.
Tracking and monitoring lease expirations, lease options, and notice dates.
Qualifying prospective tenants by analyzing financials, business plans and references.
Coordinating with Legal to ensure the timely processing of lease documents, tenant defaults, and eviction notices.
Researching and closely monitoring market conditions (i.e. average occupancy, new vacancies, rents).
Working with Marketing/Communications to maximize company’s participation in all industry-related events (i.e. ICSC conventions) and developing appropriate marketing materials.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 2+ years of retail leasing experience.
Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to prioritize challenging work schedule/ multitask.
