Primarily responsible for planning, developing, directing, and executing marketing and advocacy communications strategies and tools for THA. This includes extensive collaboration, oversight of key performance indicators, department expenditures/budget and revenue opportunities. Lead efforts to further awareness of THA issues, programs, products, and services through innovative digital, grassroots, and other creative marketing tactics. Provide editorial and creative leadership for a wide variety of communications tools including Web and social content, publications, and marketing campaigns. Design production schedules, overseeing project management of all internal projects to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency of project team members.
Manage and lead a team of communication experts who handle creative concepts, writing, the THA website, graphic design, photography, and multimedia advocacy. . Responsible for communication to about ongoing campaigns, launches, and major accomplishments of THA.
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling, concise content.
Strong social media marketing and e-mail marketing skills, including metric and data analysis.
Technology skills in Microsoft Office, Hootsuite or similar platforms, Canva, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite software, including, InDesign and Photoshop.
Strong conceptual, creative, analytic and problem-solving skills.
Detailed and organized self-starter with ability to multitask.
Strong interpersonal communications skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
Experience in project management in a fast-paced environment.
Familiar with AP style.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism or a related field, knowledge equivalent to master’s level education.
Five years’ experience in marketing or marketing communications.
Five years’ experience managing complex, multifaceted marketing communications projects. Familiarity with Basecamp or similar project management tool preferred.
Knowledge of the health care and hospital industry.
Knowledge of search engine optimization.
Desire and ability to comprehend how government action impacts Texas hospitals.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with graphic design concepts and software.
Experience in editing photos and videos preferred but not required.
Proven effective management, leadership, and supervisory skills.
Must have valid Texas Drivers’ License and proof of insurance if driving for THA related business.
Must reside in the Austin area.
