Hire Connections is partnering with a respected, membership-based organization to identify a dynamic Vice President of Events—a strategic leader who transforms big ideas into exceptional experiences. In this executive role, you will oversee a portfolio of 12–15 high-impact events annually, guide a talented events team, and steward a strong revenue-generating program. This is an in-office role based in the Denver Tech Center with a Metro Denver scope. You will collaborate closely with executive and volunteer leadership to deliver experiences that engage members and elevate the organization’s profile across the region.
What You’ll Do:
Set and lead the overall events strategy to ensure all programs align with organizational goals and deliver meaningful member value.
Produce a dynamic portfolio of events, including conferences, trade shows, awards programs, and social experiences.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing events team.
Own all event financials, including budgets, forecasts, registrations, sponsorships, and revenue goals.
Deliver polished, large-scale events that strengthen engagement and visibility.
Serve as a trusted advisor and staff liaison to volunteer committees.
Partner with the marketing & communications team to develop high-impact messaging that drives strong attendance and engagement.
Negotiate and manage venue, A/V, food & beverage, and speaker contracts to ensure alignment with budgets and event objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders.
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the events portfolio supports long-term organizational growth.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree required.
7–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in events, associations, or membership-based environments.
Demonstrated experience leading teams.
Strong financial and contract management skills.
A strategic mindset paired with creativity, confidence, follow-through, and strong multi-tasking ability.
