Director of Enrollment Effective Immediately
An independent preschool through eighth-grade school in the Mountain West, seeks a dynamic and strategic Director of Enrollment to lead all aspects of student recruitment, enrollment, and retention. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Head of School and working closely with the Administrative Leadership Team.
The Director of Enrollment plays a critical role in shaping the future of the school by stewarding a mission-aligned, sustainable enrollment strategy that reflects the school’s values, program strengths, and community. The position is effective immediately.
Primary Responsibilities
Enrollment Strategy & Leadership
Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate a comprehensive enrollment management strategy aligned with the school’s mission, strategic priorities, and long-term sustainability.
Set annual enrollment targets in collaboration with the Head of School and leadership team.
Lead enrollment forecasting, data analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making.
Serve as a key advisor to the Head of School on enrollment trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
Admissions & Recruitment
Oversee the full admissions cycle from inquiry through enrollment, including outreach, campus visits, events, interviews, and decision-making.
Cultivate relationships with prospective families that are warm, professional, and mission-centered.
Design and execute recruitment initiatives that reflect the unique character of the School and the community.
Partner with faculty and administrators to ensure prospective families gain an authentic understanding of the student experience.
Retention & Community Engagement
Collaborate with school leadership to support student retention and positive family engagement.
Monitor re-enrollment trends and proactively address areas of concern.
Serve as a visible and trusted presence for current families, reinforcing the school’s values and culture.
Marketing & Communications
Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to ensure alignment between admissions, messaging, branding, and outreach efforts.
Support content development for print, digital, and event-based communications that drive enrollment goals.
Analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
Tuition Assistance & Access
Oversee the tuition assistance process in partnership with the Head of School and business office.
Ensure that admissions and tuition assistance practices support the school’s commitment to access, fairness, equity, and mission alignment.
Operations & Team Collaboration
Manage admissions systems, data integrity, and reporting.
Supervise admissions staff as applicable.
Represent the School at events, fairs, and community gatherings locally and regionally.
